I was commissioned to draw a scene from C. S. Lewis' 'The Voyage of the Dawn Treader', where the character Eustace is transformed from a dragon back into a boy through the lion Aslan's intervention. Like many of Lewis' books, there is a Christian allegory in the story, and so I was asked to include text from the Bible (Ephesians 4: 22 and Romans 12:2) in the illustration. One of my biggest projects for a while - a hand-drawn map for Emily and Graham's wedding. Ink with a dip pen and brush. If you are interested in the process, please click on the thumbnails below to see how we got from initial draft to final map. The project took around 20 hours (over several weeks) to complete.
I've received a couple of commissions for tattoo designs recently. Here are two draft designs that I have sketched for Franki.
